Brothers from all over the nation got together for the 5th Annual AGR Shootout thanks to Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity’s Sayre Fund. There were 140 shooters that shot 8,381 targets.
Brothers broke into groups and competed against one another for prizes. Beta Psi Chapter at Delaware Valley cooked hogs for the event for everyone to eat. Friends of AGR and potential new members also participated in the event.
The Top Squad was from Zeta Chapter, Cornell, comprised of Brothers Josh Neumann, Lee Graft, Erik Verdehe, Chuck Haynes and Liam Hooper. The runner-up squads were Gamma Eta, SUNY Cobleskill: Brothers AT Tahalatif, David Prentice and Adam Lynch and Beta Psi, Delaware Valley: Brothers Samuel Everett, Tyler Cotner, Carsen Cachelin and Steven Edwards.
The Top Individuals were AT Tahalatif, Gamma Eta, who hit 93 targets. The runner-up from the group of collegiates are Josh Neumann from Zeta Chapter with 86 targets hit and Samuel Everett, Beta Psi who hit 84 targets.
The Top Alumni were Brendon Scoralick, Gamma Eta, who destroyed 88 targets. The runner-ups were Aaron Breneman, Beta Psi, with 84 targets hit, Brother Tim Butler, Alpha Nu, Connecticut, with 83 targets hit, and Jon Fehnel, Beta Psi, also with 83 targets hit.
Youth were also in attendance and participated in the shootout as well. Youth ranked highest was Tyler Manwarren who hit 84 targets, and the runner-up was Jonathan Smith with 73 targets.
Some potential new members attended the shootout. The Top-Ranking Potential New Member was Lee Graft, Cornell University, who hit 80 targets. The runner ups were Tyler Cotner, Delaware Valley University, with 78 targets destroyed and Tom Kuiper, also from Cornell, with 76 targets.
The Top Friend of AGR was Alex Sheckart with 81 targets hit. The runner up was John Copeland with 70 targets.
Lastly, the Top Chapter Award and traveling trophy stayed with Gamma Eta Chapter that collectively hit 339 targets.
The ranking for chapters was Beta Psi Chapter with 332 targets, Zeta Chapter with 324 targets, Alpha Nu Chapter (Connecticut) with 285 targets, and Beta Upsilon (Delaware) with 264 targets. The honorable mentions were Lambda Chapter (Minnesota), Psi Chapter (Maine), Alpha Eta Chapter (Georgia) and Gamma Chapter (Penn State).
The brothers had a fun-filled time mingling and getting to know brothers from different chapters and potential new members while building lasting memories.
