Brother Carlos Lopez of Alpha Sigma Chapter, California State-Fresno, was hired by the National FFA Organization, headquartered in Indianapolis. Brother Lopez is the organization’s Belonging & Engagement Specialist.
He spent 26 years as an agriculture teacher in California. In his new position, he continues to grow mindsets by welcoming, supporting and engaging more than 1 million FFA members across the United States.
Brother Drew Slattery of Beta Sigma Chapter, Tarleton State, recently joined AgSpire as their Director of Business Partnerships. Brother Slattery has a Master of Agriculture degree, Communication and Adoption of Innovations. He has experience in regenerative agriculture and corporate sustainability realm and is committed to enhancing the impact on natural resources and the climate across global supply chains.
Brother John Benefield of Alpha Eta Chapter, Georgia, has joined Optiv Security after 24 years with the AGCO Corporation within the Enterprise Technology Services Department. At Optiv Security, Brother Benefield offers strategic and technical expertise to approximately 6,000 companies across various key industries.
Brother Rhett Proctor of Beta Eta Chapter, Virginia Tech, was elected as the President of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association for the 2024-2025 term.
Brother Proctor owned and operated a dairy farm in western Massachusetts for more than 20 years. He also worked as a large animal veterinarian in Gap, Pennsylvania after graduating college in 2016.
Brother Bryce Cluff of Alpha Pi Chapter, Arizona, has joined the office of Representative Mary Peltola as the Agriculture Legislative Aid. Brother Cluff said he is excited about the incredible opportunity to handle agriculture policies for one of the largest states in the United States.
Brother Brendan O’Donnell of Phi Chapter, California-Davis, has recently been named the President and CEO for the DFA of California and Safe Food Alliance. Brother O’Donnell has more than two decades of extensive leadership experience in the food and agriculture industry.
Prior to joining the DFA and Safe Food Alliance, Brother O’Donnell was the Global Segment Director, Nuts & Citrus at TOMRA Food.
Brother Jacob Roden of Iota Chapter, Wisconsin-Madison, is an intern in the loan accounting department with Compeer Financial. Brother Roden is a senior studying for a degree in agriculture business management.
