Brother Kayden Guymon of Theta Chapter, Missouri, will begin his position as Director of Regulatory Affairs & Policy Counsel for the Missouri Farm Bureau January 2, 2025.
Brother Guymon transitions to this role from the Law Firm of Haden & Colbert where he specialized in agriculture law. The Missouri Farm Bureau’s President, Garrett Hawkins said Brother Kayden’s passion to serve the state’s agriculture industry will be a great asset to the Farm Bureau as well as farmers across the state. Brother Guymon is also a Regional Vice President of Alpha Gamma Rho.
Brother Fernando Flores of Gamma Zeta Chapter, Arkansas Tech, was the first runner-up for Big Man On Campus at the 2024 Zeta Tau Alpha’s Big Man On Campus competition.
Brother Flores is the VNR-Planning at Gamma Zeta Chapter and is a sophomore at Arkansas Tech.
Brother Jack Lichte of Beta Gamma Chapter placed 3rd overall at the South Dakota Collegiate Crops Contest, 11th at the Kansas event and 10th in Chicago. He was also part of a three-person team for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville crops team, which placed first at their regional event in South Dakota. They also secured 3rd place at both the national contests in Kansas City and Chicago.
The team is judged on three activities for the contest including plant and seed identification, commercial grain grading and seed analysis.
Brother Don Budlong of Eta Chapter, Iowa State, was recognized by the Chapter as the oldest living alumnus and for the Don & Trudy Budlong Estate Scholarship, which is awarded every year to deserving young men.
Brother Hunter Wernecke of Beta Xi, Texas Tech, was the Matador of the Month last month for Texas Tech’s Student Agriculture Council. Brother Wernecke is a freshman studying Agriculture Business.
Brother Max Schneider of Beta Gamma Chapter, Wisconsin-Platteville, recently graduated and will begin his career with Pioneer Farm doing research. He will continue his education at veterinary school in Fall 2025.
Brother Ryan Parchert, also from Beta Gamma Chapter, graduated and is beginning his career with Liqui-Grow Suspension fertilizers as a salesman and agronomist. Brother Parchert majored in Agribusiness with an Emphasis in business management.
