Jesse Singerhouse was one of the individuals selected to receive the 2015 Alpha Gamma Rho Grand President's Award. He was honored with the award at the 2015 Leadership Seminar in Chicago, Illinois, on February 21. His efforts consistent with the AGR Promise and Values qualified him for this award.
Alpha Gamma Rho has been a great building block in Jesse Singerhouse's life and career since his initiation into Alpha Psi in the spring of 1994. He has remained involved with the Chapter and Fraternity since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a bachelor's degree in agriculture education and then a MBA in business management.
Singerhouse currently works as the manager of administrative and member services at Dunn Energy Cooperative in Menomonie, Wisconsin. For the past 15 years, he has worked his way up after starting as a summer intern in 1996. He started out marketing the cooperatives services while working with large ag-based accounts on energy projects. Today, Singerhouse manages day-to-day operations for human resources, key account relations, communications, community service and renewable energy development. During his time overseeing the company's communications, Dunn Energy has been recognized for several national marketing and communications awards. He has been a featured speaker at the American Farm Bureau Renewable Energy Conference and the National Electric Power Conference.
In his community, Singerhouse has served as President of the Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce, and he is currently actively involved in the Dunn County Farm Bureau, Dunn County 4-H project and the Menomonie FFA Alumni. Previously, Singerhouse served on the board for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, Dairyland Power Member Services and Energy Strategies Committee, the Menomonie school district's facilities task force, and as President of the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Member Services Association. He also worked to develop an ag education program for local business leaders and was a founding member of the Menomonie Young Professionals group.
Singerhouse actively operates a fifth- generation, 100-acre beef farm south of Menomonie raising 20 head of beef cattle in a cow calf operation specializing in high quality Angus, Maine Anjou and Crossbred cattle that his family exhibits at cattle shows.
Administered and nominated by a selection committee the Grand President's Award is awarded by AGR for business excellence and professional achievement. It is awarded to specific Fraternity alumni age 40 or under who have achieved remarkable success in their professional careers. This award demonstrates an honorable acknowledgement of Singerhouse's leadership, professionalism and knowledge of his industry.
