Alpha Gamma Rho has joined the #GivingTuesday movement. Coinciding with the Thanksgiving holiday and the kickoff of the "holiday shopping season," #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the causes they support, and help make a better world. Taking place December 2, 2014, #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are synonymous with holiday shopping.
AGR decided to get involved as a way to be a part of something bigger. On #GivingTuesday, brothers and friends across the country will give $19.04 to The Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho to fund scholarships, educational endeavors, strategic planning for chapters and leadership training for agriculture's future leaders. This gift of $19.04 will also qualify undergraduate brothers for membership in AGR's only collegiate giving club, The 1904 Society.
