Four Brothers were recently named the 2018 Undergraduate Directors on the National Board of Directors for Alpha Gamma Rho. Del Adcock, Carter Jones, Michael Wijesinghe, and Dustin Winston were selected for this position based on their responsibility, leadership and contribution to the Fraternity. AGR believes in order to remain successful, collegiate representation and input on Fraternity issues is a must. They will serve a one-year term.
Del Adcock is a junior at Kansas State University and was initiated into the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho in August of 2015. He served as Alpha Zeta’s VNR of Recruitment in 2016 and Noble Ruler in 2017. Brother Adcock is an Agricultural Economics major with a minor in Animal Sciences. At Kansas State, Del is involved in the College of Agriculture Ambassadors, AGEC Club, and is a fellow within the Center for Risk Management Education and Research (CRMER). Del has an internship with Bartlett Grain this next summer at their Great Bend, KS location as a merchandising intern. His long-term career goals after his graduation in the spring of 2019 are to work within the field of grain merchandising or livestock risk management.
Carter Jones is a sophomore at North Carolina State University and was initiated into Nu Chapter in September of 2016. He has served as VNR of Recruitment for the past year and is currently still serving in this role. Brother Jones is an Agricultural Business Management Major. At NC State, Carter is involved in the Agricultural Business Management and Ducks Unlimited Organizations. His long-term plans are to serve his agriculture based community as an attorney at law.
Michael Wijesinghe is a junior at the University of Maryland and was initiated into Alpha Theta Chapter in September 2016. In 2017, he served as VNR of Recruitment and he currently serves as Noble Ruler. In the spring of 2016, Michael co-founded the campus hydroponic club and currently serves as President. He also sits as an elected member on the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Student Council Executive Board and is an Agriculture Ambassador for the University. Michael is pursuing a degree in Agriculture Science and Technology with a concentration in Environmental Horticulture and a minor in Sustainability. In the future, he plans to work in the greenhouse industry and focus on nursery or hydroponic crop production.
Dustin Winston is a junior at the University of Idaho and was initiated into Beta Phi Chapter in August 2015. He has served as the VNR of Finance for his chapter, and currently serves as the VNR of Member Development. Brother Winston is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. He hopes to continue on to a career in risk management and market analysis focusing on commodities, specifically dairy. At the University of Idaho, Dustin is involved as an Ambassador/Intern for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and serves in the President’s Office.
