Brother Jeremy McAfee, Kappa Chapter (Univ. Of Nebraska) passed the Illinois bar exam. He graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law where he studied estate planning and wealth management. Brother McAfee moved to central Illinois and started a position with Sorling Northrup as an associate attorney, where Brother David Rolf, Alpha Chapter (Illinois) also works as a partner in the firm.
Brother Coy Westbrook, Beta Nu Chapter (Texas A&M), left his previous position with the Office of the Solicitor General of Texas and began a new position as Counsel to United States Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). In his previous position, Brother Westbrook assisted in dozens of cases in courts at all levels of the state and federal judiciary system in Texas. Now, he will advise Senator Lee on a variety of issues including immigration law, criminal law and Article III judicial nominations.
Brother Ben Kaehler, Epsilon Chapter (North Dakota State) received the Mid America CropLife Association’s Industry Vision Award. This award recognizes individuals who have devoted their careers to promoting and protecting the interests of the entire crop protection industry, supporting American and Midwestern agriculture, and demonstrating leadership within their company and other industry-wide organizations.
Brother Kaehler, former Vice President of National Accounts at Corteva Agriscience, received the award during the Annual Meeting in Bloomington, Minnesota held September 3-5.
With a career spanning 38 years at Corteva and Dow AgroSciences, Kaehler has been a strong supporter of MACA, contributing resources, team involvement, and frequent participation in industry panels. His dedication to preserving, improving, and protecting the crop input industry has been unwavering throughout his various roles within the company. He retired from his position with Corteva Agriscience in March 2024.
Brother Kyle McMillan, Alpha Chapter (Illinois) began a new position with Beck’s Hybrids, a seed company. Brother McMillan is their new Sales Development Lead for their Central Sales Region. Brother McMillan has more than 20 years experience in crop science, working for companies such as Bayer, Syngenta and more.
Brother Brian Waddell, Beta Delta Chapter (Illinois State) was appointed to the Board of Directors of Central Illinois CEO, an organization that provides programs for entrepreneurship education opportunities for high school junior and senior students with 75 chapters across North America. Brian is the Director of Sales & Procurement for the HarBrand Company, which includes MARCO N.P.K. Inc., a wholesale plant nutrition manufacturing business located in Clinton, Illinois. Brother Waddell has over 27 years of experience in the agribusiness industry and has been with the HarBrand Company since 2009.
