Three brothers from Iota Chapter, Wisconsin-Madison, Brother Gage Anderson, Brother Ethan Jackowski and Brother Brandon Boyd, received their FFA American Degrees at the 97th FFA National Convention October 23-26.
The American Degree is the highest degree an FFA member can earn and represents their dedication to agriculture and their community.
Brother Dennis Cavin, Alpha Upsilon, Tennessee-Martin, was honored by the university naming the ROTC Center after him. Brother Cavin is a 1970 agriculture and ROTC graduate. He served as a Lt. General of the U.S. Army then worked for Lockheed Martin, an aerospace and defense company.
Brother Brad Garrison of Beta Tau Chapter, Mississippi State, was promoted to Divisional Sales Manager for the Mountain West Division of Ewing Outdoor Supply. Ewing Outdoor Supply shared a post on social media announcing his achievement. Previously, he was the division’s sports Field Category Manager. He provided for states like Arizona by supporting spring training facilities, securing truckloads of dirt and helping branch teams grow business with local high schools and municipalities.
Brother Andrew Walmsley, Alpha Gamma Chapter, Florida, was announced as the vice president of Government Relations of the Council of Producers and Distributors of Agrotechnology (CPDA). In his new position, Brother Walmsley will work towards fulfilling the mission and vision of the CPDA Board of Directors in solving member challenges and ensuring members’ freedom to operate in the areas of state, federal government and regulatory affairs.
